The Gracie Diet Carlos Gracie 93 Years old Founder of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu developed this unique diet through trial and error than nutritional science.These principles he felt,kept his body strong,energised and immune to sickness.
Group A
Mix with each other and/add a Group B food :Animal protein (chicken,fish,red meat,shellfish) asparagus,avocado,carrot,celery,cruciferous vegetables,cucumber,aubergines,eggs,fats and oils,garlic,ginger,green peppers,lettuce,mushrooms,nuts(almonds,cashews,walnuts) olives,spinach,tomatoes and turnips.
Group B
These cereals and starches work with A and C Foods,but Never eat Two Group B foods in the same meal. Barley,chestnuts,corn flour,dried beans,dried corn,dried peas,lentils,oats,potatoes,rice,soybeans,sweet potatoes,wheat, and /or wheat based products.
Group C
Mix these sweet fruits with each other/or add a food from Group B.Bananas,coconut(green) dates,figs,grapes(sweet)melons,papaya,pears,plums,raisins,red apples,and watermelon as well as fresh cheese(cottage,cream and/or ricotta) honey
Group D Eat these acidic fruits Alone and NEVER combine them with other foods or EACH OTHER:
Group D Examples:
Apricots,blackberries,blueberries,cherries,grapes,grapefruit,green apples,lemons,limes,kiwifruit,mangoes,oranges,peaches,pears(acidic),pineapple,plums(acidic)pomegranates,raspberries,strawberries and tangerines.
1: Eat only three meals a day,spacing them at least four and a half hours apart to allow food to digest properly.
2: Avoid "Bad foods" like alcohol,pork,sweets,and canned goods,processed meats.
3: Avoid foods that could upset your digestive system,like black pepper,mustard,pickles and vinegar
4: Drink plenty of water all day long.And always have a cold glass of water upon waking.
5: Eat the right combination of foods with every meal to prevent blood acidity,following the guidelines provided.
